Abstract:

Background: Heart failure is one of the most common cardiovascular disorders that is considered as a chronic, progressive and debilitating disorder. The medical treatment of this disease is accompanied by many problems. Today, stem cells are being used increasingly to reduce heart failure treatments problems. The Objective of current study was to investigate the effect of amniotic membrane stem cell injection on the level of interleukin 4 and 12 and echocardiographic parameters in the heart failure model of male rats.Research Method: This study was an experimental study. 28 male rats weighing 200-180 g were used. Rats were divided into four groups: control group, heart failure group, heart failure group, which medium was injected into them, and the group that amniotic membrane stem cells was injected to them. Echocardiographic parameters and expression levels of interleukin 4 and 12 were evaluated in these groups after injection.Results: Intravenous injection of amniotic membrane stem cells into rats with heart failure improved the echocardiography parameters such as EF and FS compared to non-treated and medium-treated rats. The results also indicated that the expression of inflammatory cytokines IL-4 and IL-12 in rats treated with amniotic membrane stem cells was significantly reduced compared to rats with heart failure without treatment and treatment with medium.Conclusion: Generally, it can be concluded that intravenous injection of amniotic membrane cells into heart failure-induced rats improves cardiogenic parameters and decreases the expression of inflammatory cytokines.
