Abstract:
The synthesis of pure and doped nanocomposites involving ZnO, ZnWO۴, ZnO/ZnWO۴ andZnO/ZnWO۴: Ag was carried out through an economical method. Several methods wereemployed to examine the structural properties of the synthesized. The results showed thepresence of both ZnO and ZnWO۴ in all synthesized products, except for ZnO. However, XRDline intensities for tungstate were lower than those for zinc oxide, indicating ZnO as the majorphase. The absence of additional lines in the XRD pattern affirmed the purity of the crystallinephase. The morphological examination of the samples was performed using FESEM images,that highlighted a spherical particle morphology in the prepared ZnWO۴ composite, featuringan average size of ۲۹۹ nm. Doped nanocomposite demonstrated that the introduction of Agcaused notable morphological changes in the ZnO/ZnWO۴ structure, leading to the emergenceof nanorods. The resulting combination of spherical and rod-like particles was evident, and theaverage particle size diameter increased to ۱۶۸ nm in the ZnO/ZnWO۴: Ag nanocompositeConsequently, it is anticipated that the facile synthesized nanocomposite holds significantpotential for applications in future optoelectronic devices.
