RULE-BASED EXPERT SYSTEM FOR POWER SYSTEM FAULT DIAGNOSIS

Power system operation througt Energy managment System (EMS) is controlled and guided by decision making of power system skilled operation This paper deals with an expert system which Can eastimate possible fault sectious using information from protective relays and assists dispatcher to monitor the faulted sections in a power system. It gives indication of single as well as possible multiple faults. It can also evaluate false operations and/ or missing signals of relays and/or circuit brakers.
