TO THE SELECTION OF OPTIMAL CHARACTERISTICS OF OVERHEAD LINES

It is taken into consideration the determination method for optimum parameters of overhead lines with the account of relations of lines and substations cost from optimizing parameters, including line's voltage, its surge and inductive impedance. It is shown, that optimum voltage of transmission is proportional to the root-square from transmission capacity and decreases when line's length decreases. Optimum surge (and inductive) impedance does not depend on transmitted power and decreases when line's length decreases. Moreover for superlong lines the optimum surge impedance corresponds to those of traditional lines.
