DETECTION OF PARTIAL DISCHARGE PULSES FOR USE IN INSULATION SYSTEM ANALYSIS

Detection of Partial Discharge in High voltage apparatuses can Included valuable information about Insulation and can be used for diagnosis befor happening of severe events. Nowaday because of high performance computers availablity and signal processing ability many high voltage researchers interested in PI) analysis. The effect of PI) detection circut elements in original shape of PI) pulses is paid attention and it has shown how PI) signal processing can be used for diagnosis. In this parer detection, measurement and acquisition of PD signals Is described and the activities are performing in high voltage labaratory of Engineering Faculty of Tehran University is explained.
