Abstract:
Nowadays, with the increasing penetration of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and tidal power, into modern power systems, power electronic converters arecommonly employed as the interface to the utility grid. Due to the availability of high current power electronic devices, it is inevitable to use several inverters in parallelfor high-power and/or low-cost applications. So, inverters should be connected in parallel to providesystem redundancy and high reliability, which areimportant for critical customers. This paper presents a new hybrid structure based on extended-boost quasi Zsourceconverters and parallel inverters to increase the output voltage in a wide range, usable in photovoltaic (PV) systems. Additionally, the proposed inverter has allthe advantages of parallel power converters. The proposed topology and its performances are validatedusing simulation results which are obtained in Matlab/Simulink
