Bahman Khoshru was born on February 11, 1988, in Tabriz, Iran. He received his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering-Soil Science from the University of Tabriz in 2011, followed by his Master's degree in Biology and Biotechnology of Soil from the same university in 2014. He then went on to pursue his Ph.D in Soil Fertility Management and Biotechnology (Biology and Biotechnology of Soil) at the University of Tabriz, which he completed in 2022. During his Master's degree, Bahman conducted research on the investigation of Plant Growth-Promoting (PGP) Characteristics of Bacterial Strains Used in Some Common Biological Fertilizers in Iran, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Reza Sarikhani, and advised by Dr. Nasser Ali Asgharzad. For his PhD, he worked on the "Isolation and Identification of Iron and Zinc-Solubilizing Bacteria and Evaluation of the Efficiency of Promising Strains in Supplying These Nutrients to Maize Plant", under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Reza Sarikhani, and advised by Dr. Shahin Oustan and Dr. Reyhani Tabar. Bahman has an impressive number of publications to his name, including 14 domestic conference papers, 3 international conference papers, 20 ISC scientific-research papers, 22 ISI scientific-research- review papers, 18 book chapters (in English), and 2 English books. Furthermore, he has also worked on 2 research projects. Bahman has also received several awards and achievements throughout his academic and professional career. He was the winner of the Ali Poulad Scientific-Student Competition in 2019, and graduated top of the class with a GPA of 18.23 (of 20) in his Master's degree and 18.53 (of 20) in his PhD degree. He is a member of the Talent Office of the University of Tabriz for Master's and PhD degrees, as well as the Agricultural Engineering and Natural Resources Organization (Advisor, Rank 1, Engineering License No. 0109008691). He has also obtained more than 20 skill certificates and registered more than 7 genes (16S rRNA gene, partial sequence) in the NCBI database. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for 12 international journals. He has conducted one workshop and pursued a research opportunity at the National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology for a period of six months. Currently, he is working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Soil and Water Research Institute (SWRI) in Karaj, Iran. He has an H-index of 14, with 700 citations for his research publications.
